Preparing for the upcoming holiday season with my dysfunctional family part 2: some tips for grounding and gratitude to help keep a clear head.

tippitiwichet.wordpress.com/20

Ah, good. Joe has agreed to let me teach him to ground when he is angry. Finally. This is a great day for it, because it means I get to practice and refresh this skill on such an appropriate day in history.

And spreading my name as a local artist. That too. Trying to get locals to google my name and swing by my website where I have my agenda splashed all over it is intentional. Might find ways to get my voice a little louder, locally.

I'm so disappointed in myself. I know exactly what I'm going to end up doing. I'll keep doing the exact same thing. Working on de-escalation and educating people. Probably to the point that I end up relenting and taking back Joe and seeing our conversations as "practice". Especially the part where I teach him critical thinking without insulting his intelligence.

Stay focused on the immediate around you. Be smart and learn to observe others better so you can know who to rely on. Keep your cards close.

Me and Freddie are just gonna sit and pray to Bast for a crazy cat lady win.

If anyone has some good energy to send my way, I could use it in hopes of good results. I was sent for an ultrasound on my carotid artery today. They're narrowing down the source of the turbulence causing the pulsatile tinnitus in my ear. Hoping it's the lesser of problems and not my heart, because a lot of things can cause this, and I cannot afford to be sick right now. 😔

If you are what you eat, I am 90% spaghetti O's with "meatballs".

Grasping, together, holding on, letting go...

Linocut advice, please. Ok, so I did a little soft rubber carving, but didn't like how crumbly and super soft it was, so I finally got my linoleum blocks. But they are grey. I trace my art in graphite and rub to transfer onto a block to carve, but graphite is grey. Will china marker work? What do y'all use?

This is a block print I made a while ago.

Explore the spaces between... the growth around obstacles... obstacles creating a pause, a rest...

Know what I love about Joe the Republican Trump supporter? He refuses to register to vote 'cause "that's how they get you for jury duty". :)
