Last view of ladies at their peak. Now they are bedraggled, brown and moving into their dormancy (they refuse to be photographed).
Time to take them apart, trim off dead roots, cut off empty blossom spikes & lightly feed. I’ll polish their leaves, check closely for mites and let them sleep.
It amazes me that they coordinate their bloom cycles with each other. Regardless of when they join the group, they bloom simultaneously.
They give me such pleasure.
Today I had some dandelion jelly and it was very good--sweet initially with a little kick at the end. Better than yesterday's violet jelly.

it's odd how anti-abortion men come up with "well, i don't want to pay for abortions" when the Hyde amendment prevents government funding of abortion... but these same people do not seem to understand that by force birthing children who are unwanted or the mother can't afford means that the government will have to take full responsibility for feeding, housing, providing healthcare & education for these children. economically, allowing abortion is far less costly & allows women to be productive
Nature, science, and art are super cool.
