I've saved memes for years but never really looked in that folder. They're all good for points made well, but you know, kind of hostile. People don't listen when they are angry. So I thought I'd clean out that folder and delete the confrontational stuff. I'm finding it's not just fluff that's left, some of it makes a good point, gently.
@Minholkin recently shared a photo of her beach visit. I was taken by it, the simplicity of the composition but the complexity of the wave shapes and colors, how you can imagine walking barefoot on the wet sand and wading out to the far shoals...
I usually work from my own photos. I asked her if she would allow me to use hers as a reference/inspiration for a painting. I'm so glad she said yes.
It's almost done.

The same pitcher plant trap a few days apart. A Judith Hindle cultivar.
A couple of months ago, I was very excited when my bladderwort finally put up a flower. It's a weed, one of many I was delighted to find in some live moss I bought (it had a total of 12 pitcher plant seedlings and 3 flytraps as well as this unidentified bladderwort). I've had it almost two years, waiting for it to flower. I've been staring at the buds for two months, eagerly anticipating the bloom opening so I could finally identify my little hitchhiker. Whatever it is, it's laughing at me.
⬆️ Open for suggested chick names. Don’t know if this little chick will grow up to be a hen or a rooster, so the name should be able to go either way. Also, something easy to yell if I’m trying to get the chicken’s attention someday once it’s big and running around. 😂
Angela has spent years making tiny picnic spreads for a friendly neighborhood chipmunk. She regularly posts the footage of this adorable project on her instagram. I love the adorable chipmunk sized dishes holding various nuts and there's even flower vases in some. What a wonderful relationship she's established with this beautiful creature ❤️
Nature, science, and art are super cool. Terribly sorry for the stuff that doesn't fit.
She/they cishet.
