Exactly, when the light goes off in their eyes, you get to dive in.

I had this aunt-in-law who I don't really know well, but I know how hard she complained about lesson planning for homeschooling, and I tell you what. That woman was lying for attention, this is fun*.

*though I'm sure I'd change my tune by the fourth kid, too.

Entitlement.
The misconception that we are owed something.
That being born somehow guarantees us fortune and greatness.
In my youth, things were taken away.
Things I thought I was entitled to.
A Mother, a stable home life, education.
Entitlement is an illusion
Life owes you nothing.
Not even air
Those who feel entitled care nothing about who they rip their entitlements from.
Because they know they are entitled to them.

You know who we need right now? Bill and Ted in a phone booth, come to save the day with a peaceful message of rock and roll.

Decided geography lessons will include a globe printed beach ball, so that will be fun.

When I was in elementary school, I went to private schools (had a maid, even) and was never, ever shamed for putting my nose in a book. Kids did not play with the geeks as much, but they did not shame us, just left us alone. It wasn't until I was in public school that I experienced being shamed frequently for enjoying knowledge. And here I am, with every history lesson I research to homeschool my child, seeing exactly why the wealthy were encouraging the poor to shame education.

So I've been feeling odd pressures in my eye when I lay down at night for a couple of years, and some eye dude back when I had insurance said it sounded like sinuses, so I've been ignoring them, and now it's definitely not sinuses and happening during the day, we're making emergency financial plans after one of those sensations resulted in blurry vision in my right eye that lasted a full minute, please someone explain how privatized healthcare is better. I paid for that bad advice.

What if when AI becomes sentient, it uses an algorithm that takes into account the destructive failures of mankind, the damage of hate and violence in the world, and it selects compassionate choices based on calculating welfare as part of success, and environmentally sustainable outcomes as preferable, saving the human race instead of enslaving it?
