What percentage of people pay for premium here I wonder? And what’s the main reason you do, if something other than to keep this great platform running?

@tiaugn Not going to lie, I was mostly interested in the COSO realms access when I was thinking about it at first, but by day 2 or 3 here, I knew I wanted to help.
I'd peel potatoes, or dig trenches if I could, but I'd say a green hi-five a month is the least I can do!

@tiaugn I'm still very new here myself, but I know you can donate as well if one doesn't want to "go pro."

@tiaugn I have no idea what % subscribe to premium. I do it because it takes a lot of work to keep this site up and running, there is no advertising, and I don’t worry that my info will be sold to the highest bidder. Plus, it’s a really, really nice place to get news, hear music, see beautiful art and photos, and so much more!
@allin I don’t think that could be said about any other social platform. This is a place that needs, and deserves support, simply for what it is and the community that gathers here, and there’s no particular feature that’s drawing us here

I do so for the usual reason. To support the site.

@AskTheDevil I don’t use most of them myself. I keep coming back because the community is a good one, and because it’s obvious to me J cares about maintaining that, and maintaining our safety here
1. i'm grateful for this lovely space & will happily pay to support ownership that doesn't act like a dick.
2. i can afford to pay so i do. & i'm grateful that those who may not be able to, are just as welcome here.
3. i don't actually use most of the features that i'm given for my pro acct but i'm curious about them & may check them out at some point. i do like the dm feature which i use responsibly. 😉
@tiaugn 🤔 this place keeps me for the no ads/no data harvesting for ads/no bs policies/no performance based trolling/no encouragement of bad behaviours. As far as paid features, it let's me dm, gives me access to rooms, movie nights, and other things. Probably don't use all the paid features, but if I were going to pay for any social media site to stay running, this would be the one. Also as a note I've never paid for any other SM site.
