The last person I ever tried to create sounds with used to go far out of their way to make things difficult for me.
It got to the point where he was just sending me completely dissonant and out of context guitar tracks that he would expect me to work into a song somehow.

First week of work at the new job...completed!

So far so good...

I'm almost like an actual citizen!

I have legal ID for the first time in a decade.

Health/dental/vision insurance will be kicking in shortly, and I haven't had that for over six years, and I am finally LEGALLY on a joint bank account w/my wife.

It's like a dream come true.

Spoke to my new manager today, and all of my various background investigations and verifications are complete.

I start my new full-time job on Monday!

This is going to take an adjustment though... I'm used to working weekends as well as 2nd and 3rd shifts.

This will be my first 8 am to 4 pm job in over 25 years!

They were predicting a hell of a winter storm here in the Albany NY area.
They kept pushing back the time for the snow until I woke up this morning to find it would not be snowing here until THURSDAY, and that's only a maybe.

It's only snowed a significant amount twice this year, and we have not fallen below 0 F degrees.

Lyme disease numbers are going to be off the hook this summer.
[we need at least 7-8 days of subzero weather a year in this area to kill off enough ticks to lessen this.]
