We too are living now through such a world, caught again between two ages, confused and conflicted, suffocating and suffering. But we have a powerful instrument for self-understanding, for cutting through the confusion to draw from these civilizational phase transitions new and stronger structures of possibility: the creative spirit. - Maria Popova

I really love 3D printing for a variety of reasons, but mainly for things like this:

I have a that I love using but they have inverted screw on lids so I can't use my favorite kind of lid with it - an epic chug lid that keeps the ice away from your face. I was looking all over for basically an adapter to turn my in-y into an out-y and I found a guy who prints them on ETSY.

It fits PERFECTLY on my bottle and allows me to screw on the lid I prefer to use.

Everything is on fire,
but everyone I love is doing beautiful things
and trying to make life worth living,
and I know I don’t have to believe in everything,
but I believe in that.

Thank goodness we have COSO and J running this ship. I can't imagine being anywhere else on a day like today.

On November 17 we will celebrate COSO's 7th birthday.

Those of us who can, help @th3j35t3r with the expenses to keep COSO afloat. Now more than ever, it seems important to do so. Several times in the past we have funded it 100% in this month. Can we do that again?

Please consider the ways to help fund COSO and especially November at 100%.

Here's how:

Still enjoying this beautiful weather. Writing a bit and enjoying an Ichiban with some Earl Grey Negroni that has no business being as good as this is. ❤️

78F° in November in Connecticut because, you know, that makes sense 🤣 But no complaints here because that means it's great for writing and a few . 👍🏾

The Babadook director Jennifer Kent has made some great horror films including 2018’s The Nightingale as well as an episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities for Netflix.

In a recent interview Kent teased:

“We’re about to announce something that’s going ahead, a film based on a book. A very well-known horror book. But I can’t really say more than that at this point.”

It's looking like that film is going to be an adaptation of 's The Thief Of Always.

Colectivo C733 began as five offices united under the belief that public space has the ability to transform society and help communities imagine new possibilities.

Their work is focused on creating free accessible 'cosmic' public spaces.

Eladio Dieste postulated that architecture conceived for public space should always be logical, efficient, and economical, not in a monetary way, but in a cosmic way; understanding how architecture is linked to local culture and to the people using it.

Recognized for completing 36 distinct yet cohesive public projects across Mexico in just 36 months, Colectivo C733 showcases the impact of collaborative design on public spaces and communities.

The 36 projects were part of a national effort to revitalize vulnerable urban and rural areas in Mexico, earning them the 2024 Obel Award focused on the theme of "Architectures With"
