1/2: I find it a) typical and b) comical that there are Democrats, Progressives, and other such white men who are giving the "le sigh" treatment to White Dudes for Harris. Why are they doing it?

They're saying it's nothing but performative, and some are sighing at things being said like, "Kamala's our girl!" and expressing happiness and excitement about her candidacy.

Again, it isn't GOP/alt-white dudes. It's bona fide Lefty dudes of varying ages.

: Lucked out at the supermercado. I went by to pick up some more of my favorite snack bars (Kodiak protein granola) and some coffee creamer, and color me all surprisedlike... loads of stuff I regularly purchase for noms was on big sale. I spent $124 and saved $68.

Rarely do a gaggle of my weeklies go on sale at the same time, and so I count it as a sizable win.

That said, I know there'd be substantially more static from the Right and some of the Left over it, but looking forward, I believe Pete would be stellar. : My neighbor is not a jackass. He's just 64. He is a carpenter, can do most electrical work on a house, repairs and restores vintage stereo equipment, can jam repairing cars, but he's not up on computerthings.

Like my mom (79), whenever technical computer talk starts, he zones out. Except printers. Apparently he's good with laser printer repair and getting them to stay on the damn network.

He's just out almost $400.

He came over and told me not long ago what happened and laughed about it.

: I asked a neighbor to let me have a look at his router in re: a problem he was having with home intarwebs, but he said he wanted an expert to check it out.

He did not know what A+, Network+, and Server certs are... or CompTIA. So he paid a dude $129 for a house call *and* paid $225 for a new gateway/wifi-router, and he gave his son (26) the old one because he asked for it.

The older (2017) router just needed the firmware updates it'd never had. So installed it at his girlfriend's house. 😄

: I'll be sending my iWatch back in. I'm back to a FitBit today. It isn't because I hate Apple or capitalists or whatever. It's just the additional cost per month for 5G data for the watch isn't worth it.

I use Bose headphones during the day and ApplePlay in the car, and so I don't need phone or texting on a watch. The other tracking, such as for naps and #walkies🐾, is my jam.

So I'mma save ~$40/mo. and just use mah FitBit.
