@Minholkin So it goes back to military dress codes.
You had two colours of socks: white for sports and black for *everything else*. So when you got some leave and went out clubbing, looking for a bit of "action", you didn't want to wear your black socks with your civvies, so you wore the white ones.

And so "Pulling socks" were born.
@Beanc

@Minholkin Mind you don't get caught by the fashion police!

When I was a teen, white socks outside of a gym meant "on the pull". We even called them "pulling socks" ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

So yeah! Good luck ๐Ÿ˜œ

@altamaha I am 52 (53 in February)
My Coachella age is 51 ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I don't ask this often, but please do me a solid

and drop a follow on Games4Kickz's youtube channel

he's a great guy with a distinctively unique accent as only a German kid growing up in Ireland can have.

There's some mildly salty humor, but nothing worse than the occasional "Holy Balls!"

because , and I wanted to share it.

@FireMonkey FWIW and for fun, potus45/47 was me deliberately avoiding my own filters so I don't lise the thread. I thinkmI have to block myself now! ๐Ÿคฃ @janallmac

@FireMonkey No we can't. I have taken to muting or blocking those who consistently avoid both hashtags *and* keywords (eg how many different ways can one refer to potus45/47 in order to bypass filters?) and also those who post images without giving so much as a word of context.

My *concern* is that eventually I end up following almost nobody ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

@janallmac

@BillyBones Yes that's right.
@Valkyrie_D you can still read her substack.
Hang on. I'll find a link.

@th3j35t3r My first thought on seeing that picture was "Has Steven Segal been on a diet?"
The resemblance is uncanny.

@wolfwoman "Take me to your leader!"
"Sure! This way! Have fun!" ๐Ÿคฃ

@damian_reloaded You learned the Catechism! That's not as easy as people think. I admire your desire to be a pisitive presence in the world. You're right. It's hard.

@TheNewsOwl

@TheNewsOwl Faith! You have faith, even if you can not put a name or a doctrine to it.
(at its best) is a framework on which can hang the expression of our faith.
Even humanism in its various forms might be described as a non-theistic "religion" of sorts when looked at from the standpoint of faith in the "human spirit".

Thanks all who bore with me and jumped into that chat. Not an easy conversation by any means, but one I really appreciate having.
So in a nutshell, no I'm not leaving, yet!
It's something I'm allowing myself to consider. I've told myself that it's a valid option and I don't have to be afraid to talk about it.

There may be others who are thinking the same but don't want to upset anyone by saying something. Well it's safe to say it to me. Ok?

Ok!

@sheseala @Armchaircouch
That or the bacteria would be my guess.
The higher the quality, the longer it's been left to mature (in most cases, anyway) which means higher levels of the bacteria which give it much of its character. The bacteria aren't usually harmful but if your body is a bit intolerant, that might be why.

@Museek It's never easy getting through ER, especially at weekends. Is kiddo going to be ok? Does she have a clearer idea of what's going on?
