I have been told by my doctor that nicotine is as hard to quit as heroin and I believe him.
@PaganMother @stueytheround @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 I did not realize for many years that I was using nicotine to self-medicate for my mood disorders.
So now, when I try to quit, I risk these horrible, explosive outbursts over nothing. I turn into evil Kanye for a couple days, then run back to the drug.
@AskTheDevil @stueytheround @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 Yeah I started using marijuana to actually help regulate how quickly my outburst would happen without nicotine in my life. And it's been helping a lot. Actually not just with regulating my moods but with making my anxiety a little easier to manage.
@PaganMother @stueytheround @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 I use it a bit to help with pain and help me sleep, and it helps me be less crazy duing quitting.
@stueytheround @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 I believe him, too.
@stueytheround @AskTheDevil @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 Tom's brother & sister in law both smoke a LOT. sister in law was diagnosed with lung cancer last year & had a third of one lung removed. neither has attempted to quit smoking.
@stueytheround @AskTheDevil @process @tyghebright @Heucuva8 He's right it is. I quit smoking in 2014 and the hardest part is the nicotine cravings and it really does affect your mood and temper if you've been on it for a while.
