Just found 30 or so of these little beauties.
They're Cinnabar Moth caterpillars (a day flying species). My wildlife garden is doing its THING!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹

@stueytheround it's amazing how nature plays with colours...โฃ๏ธ

@stueytheround Wow, that moth knows fashion all through it's life, so pretty!

@stueytheround Are cinnabar moths helpful, destructive, or neutral?

๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ yay! Iโ€™m happy for you and thank you for providing a space for pollinators โ™ฅ๏ธ @stueytheround

@holon42 Yes. And all because I left a native plant to self seed.

@stueytheround One year the birds planted a mallow in my yard. I saved some of the seeds, and next year I threw the seeds into this tiny flowerbed I have. Before it bloomed I was outside with my dog one night and heard some rustling in the plants, took a look and there were like 15 caterpillars munching away! So left them to it, and once the plants bloomed, the bees just loved it!
