Quick question: do folks here like Scrivener? I'm almost at the end of the trial, and I'm still torn on whether I want to pay for it. Are there other things I should try first that are similar? #cosowriters

In Atlanta, there are three attractions right next to each other. Close enough together to share a common courtyard. One is the aquarium, line out the door. One is the Coke museum and bottling tour, line out the door. One is the museum of human and civil rights, doors wide open, completely ignored. I hate what that says about this country.
Coffee pot melted this morning, then caught fire. I'm pretty sure that means I get today off.
"Why does CounterSocial require a Pro account for premium features?"
Short version: Operating this space is not free.
Longer version: Many of the features that are paywalled can be exploited by bad actors. To limit this, we require that you make a small investment to support the community before you can use them.
It's a core decision that helps to keep this community safe, and we feel pretty good about it, all things considered. #CoSoTips

Welcome!
It's gonna be a stressful today. I'm predicting lots of #catsofcoso and #dogsofcoso doomscrolling in my future. Cuteness is therapeutic.
Seeing the widespread adoption of this "either I won or your cheated" mentality simply beggars belief. It's a toddler's way of looking at the world, and there are grown adults saying this stuff with a straight face.
I've never had a high opinion of humanity, but it's still managing to crater even further right now.

Dusting off one of my projects today. One of the things I've thought about a lot is replayability. What does that mean to you?
I'm standing outside at a local art festival in early November. It's 76° here in Georgia, 10° higher than the historical average. Nobody's wearing coats. Nobody's buying hot chocolate or cider. People are enjoying snow cones and dancing to the music a top a carpet of fallen leaves. We're living in weird times.
I know I shared this recently, but it really resonates with me: you endorse what you tolerate.
There's a scene at the start of The Boondocks Saints where a priest gives a sermon about someone who was murdered in broad daylight, and many people just walked by to not get involved. That quote resonates with me, too:
"We must all fear evil men, but there is another kind of evil we must fear most of all, and that is the indifference of good men."
I guess what I'm saying is, go vote.
