Wow, I have not felt this much dread before. Waiting for my dad to wake up and having to tell him she is gone. 65 years is a long time to have been together. This is not going to be a good day.
With my mother near the end I didn't try to tell her when other friends and loved ones passed, only when she asked, knowing she would only forget again.
@sghamel I am so so sorry to hear this. If your dad has a nurse maybe talk to them and see how to break it to him. My heart go out to you as I know how difficult this is going to be for you and him. Stay strong and lean on us here if you need to vent.

She was his caregiver. I had to tell him when he woke since he was dressed and ready to go see her. Rough morning and day I think.
