What I'd like to be doing before going to bed certainly is not trying to fix the desktop because my mother clicked something she shouldn't have. Wish me luck!
Today is a year since I lost my dad. He had Alzheimer's and was hospitalized, caught Covid while there and his body just started shutting down from there. He left a huge void in my life. If you want to, listen to some Eagles, Queen, Bob Seger or Fleetwood Mac in George's honor today.
Discovered a new book store! This kid (I say kid because I could probably be his mother) started the business in 2021 and rents a warehouse space. Only opens monthly for sales and people FLOCK to it. So chaotic but fun to look for things for my growing library.
Finished The Time Collector, and it had an ending I wasn't expecting, but as it approached I started suspecting. Onto my next read through the alphabet.
When the Dark Shadows movie with Johnny Depp came out, I totally boycotted because the original show held such a special place in my heart. I remember my grandmother introducing me to it. She had me watching that and Murder, She Wrote when I was around 10. Probably why I am the way I am. Anyway, finally watched the movie today and.. meh. Thank goodness the show is on Tubi. All of it. Go watch it.
I'm back on that Dateline kick. It's my new go-to background show when I'm working on anything.
My job got a 1 star Google review and I wanna respond to it SO BAD. We figured out who it was (they used a fake name) based on what they said and they were definitely not being accurate.
If the new neighbors 3 houses down could get control of their car alarm, that would be great. I'm trying to read. 😜

A client came in earlier and the overwhelming smell of weed and peppermint hit me all at once. It's like they tried to cover the weed smell with mint and only managed to make it all so much worse. So so much worse. 😂
Comfy on the couch, in my fuzzy robe, watching Dateline. Now that's relaxing.
New developments. The gentleman was parked in our back employee parking lot the entire time and didn't call us to tell us like he was instructed. So we didn't know. Now this is turning into a whole extra thing. *sigh*
It's really frustrating when pet owners bully their way into us squeezing their pet in because it's not doing well (and we haven't seen them in 8 years) and then they don't show up or call us. Don't be that person, please. If something changed, let us know. If you're not coming, someone else could have that spot.
I wish we weren't open late Monday nights anymore. Getting home from work and eating dinner around 9 pm and then forcing myself to stay up a bit so I'm not eating and going right to sleep is exhausting. Then I wake up Tuesday mornings and don't wanna get out of bed. This is my least favorite part of the week.
I'm smack in the middle of a Dateline marathon. Why am I like this? This is my background noise while I read. True crime soothes me, apparently.
Started playing Monster Hunter Rise and upgraded my dog's armor. Now he looks like a crazy Pokemon.
