So if the federal gov shuts down, and then the trump quislings in congress depose McCarthy, then we're not just going to be hostage to GQP's ability to pass a spending bill, we're going to be hostage to their ability to elect a new speaker and *then* pass a spending bill. Is that right?
I totally buy that trump at least "gave aid and comfort" to people now convicted of seditious conspiracy & should be held ineligible for public office.
But I will be shocked if SCOTUS holds that he can be kept off state ballots.
