The Second Amendment is from the 1790s. At that time to load a firearm, you had to pour gunpowder into a musket. Bullets became standard in the 1830s. @publickovacs It was intended to arm the citizens to fight against the redcoats. Also to give farmers the ability to defend their farms and crops because the Redcoats were burning the fields and farms. It was amended in 1992. The NRA twisted it into the insanity we have now.

@publickovacs Back in the day we were taught the Amendments in the fifth and sixth grades. The Preamble and The Declaration of Independence. I don’t think they teach any of that now.
