Something that’s been on my mind recently and I’ve mentioned these memories before but in the context of Musk I do think it bears repeating.
1987. Not that long ago right? Now I was about to hit my teens. I’m not much younger than Elon. Moved to South Africa. He lived in Pretoria, me Jo’burg.
We arrived. Within a couple of weeks we had our own maid. If you didn’t take a maid in people would be at your door every day begging you to give them a job. A maid was paid peanuts.
You get on a bus. A white bus. To a school. A white school. You were told blatant lies. You had to do cadets. Preparing for National Service.
I’d say that played a part in Musk leaving at 18. Just a guess though.

One of white supremacy. To me it was jarring and an experience that helped form me positively.
Looking and listening to Musk how do you think it formed his worldview?
So yeah, I just think about this when I think about how he’s now the richest man in the world with the ear of the most powerful man in the world.
Now I don’t know him but I know plenty like him. I can only judge on words and actions.
The words so far terrify me. But I’m OK. I’m a white man living far away from it all.

Is Elon Musk Autistic or Has Asperger's?
During his guest appearance on “Saturday Night Live (SNL)” on May 8th, entrepreneur Elon Musk announced 26 seconds into his opening monologue that he has Asperger’s syndrome.
In a 2015 interview with Rolling Stone, Musk stated that he has "a mild form of Asperger's."
They've done away with the term "Asperger's" it's no longer considered separate.
Personally, I think he has a lethal form of "Assholerism"
Nothing good can come out of this alliance. Only more power grabs, more corruption and more assholery.

My bad! I totally forgot about that! I guess I am thinking that he thinks he has full immunity now, given he has control of everything. Then again, do we really think that SCOTUS will hold him accountable for anything?They crowned him king....they are his court....
@Spagesgallo1 @QueenOfEverything @th3j35t3r @process I do think SCrOTUS will hold him accountable for personal stuff because I don't think they like him all that much, he's a means not the goal. But also if they aren't careful, they can end up shuttering the doors of law - leaving them powerless. Also I think Amy C-B and John R would not go that far. Maybe not even Brett.

Really??? Even though they might not like him, they are beholden to him. He owns them, especially Brett! I don't trust them. I believe that they will continue to follow orders and carry out what they were installed for. They played a big part with helping to destroy our rights as you well know.

@LiseL just sometimes it runs around my brain and it’s like wtaf. I mean, I know there’s places on the planet now that are as awful for women and people, but when folk talk about “Christian values” and all as if it could never happen again. This was a “Christian values” country through and through.
Things can flip pretty quickly right? People alive not only lived through things like this but actively supported it.
They walk among us and we let our guards down.

Quite parenthetically, I was still in high school that same year, and two of us performed a short anti-apartheid play in front of the school. I played a Johannesburg "housewife" and the other girl was the maid. I wish I had kept the script, but I do remember my part was all about my daily routine, my hopes, joys, worries, etc., and her part was all about her own life and what she was actually going through. What a time. What a time we're in now.
