Magic. I have a 2-metre long Lightning extension cable that suffered a bent Lighting plug when overstressed in the wrong direction. Today I bought a Bondic brand fixer-upperer thingie. Shaped like a pistol, it has a UV LED above a tube of goop. Apply the goop, reposition the parts to be fixed & play the LED over it for about 5 seconds. The goop hardens & the repair is made. There’s also a sanding block to roughen up the surfaces & a spare tube of goop. The LED batteries are replaceable.

Interesting. The dressing/low allergenic tape is the approved dressing type to use with burns such as mine.
Removal involved dissolving the adhesive and gently peeling the tape off. The pink parts are new skin so now a padded waterproof dressing has been fitted.
