I have 2 Woolworth's memories.

I worked a Christmas holiday as a stock clerk in one in 1969, making 90¢ an hour. For a full 40 hour workweek that comes to $36.

I found the 45 of Angel of the Morning by Marilee Rush in a different Woolworths, tucked away in a little plastic bin in about 1975 .

Now nobody knows what those stores were about.
