As we encounter new phenomena, science uses the scientific method to try and understand that phenomena. It examines evidence and if old theories need to be updated or abandoned, it does so.
Religions, on the other hand, attempt to answer 21st-century questions with the knowledge we possessed 2000 years ago, back when we still believed in dragons and bloodletting.

So, here's a book which (for the most part) summarizes Popper's works.
While I still advise reading #KarlPopper himself, and generally feel most summaries are like those creepy yellow books students too lazy to read the actual works referenced, I understand not wanting to wade through hundreds & hundreds of pages just to understand the #ParadoxOfSovereignity, #ParadoxOfDemocracy, etcetera, so would recommend this work, despite being dated.
