Hurricane Ian is up to category 2 strength with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph.
Just a reminder, the Saffir Simpson scale is the scale that we use to rate tropical cyclones. But it only takes wind into consideration; not storm surge and not rainfall.
In other words, it doesn't tell the whole story of the tropical cyclone. Even tropical storms have caused devastating flooding.
