if i recall correctly from my decades of jousting with schools, curriculum is exclusively down to approval by the state's school board (in compliance with any Federal standards applicable in order to receive Federal funding.)
If it isn't directly from/implemented by the state school board, it isn't effective, as far as i know? (State legislatures notwithstanding...)

I spend a significant amount of time working in youth service agencies in very conservative states, and I can tell you these publicly funded places are generally wayyyy more inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community, specifically trans and gender fluid youth than the general population.

I haven't been in Texas but I have agencies there, and all comply and exceed our requirements for inclusion.

Also, you can't get gender reassignment surgery until 18, already.

That memo is gaslighting outrage, IMO.

They badly need volunteers to staff.
So tonight that's where I will be.

Gonna have to take a long nap.
