He took me on a tour. I've also been on one of his old 688i class boats, too, so it was cool to see all the differences in technology. He showed me his two "rooms," the torpedo room and the countermeasures room. He owns the operations of both as the TMC (Torpedoman Chief,) and supervises the other enlisted that serve there.

Based on what I saw, you don't want to f*ck with the USN. I'm very proud of him and what he does for this country.

When my son made Chief in the USN, they assigned him to a new boat: a Virginia-class attack submarine (the exact one is irrelevant). During our visit last week, he asked if I'd like to go see it. I figured that meant driving down to the pier with him and him pointing over the fence, "There it is!" I was wrong.
