@philipcardella Thank you. I appreciate that.
@kel Thank you ❤️
@ExPatExp88 Apparently! I hadn't heard of it before, so now I'm thinking I'll check it out!
RT @AbdulElSayed: To appreciate the depths of the hypocrisy here, remember that the people celebrating the end of Roe—trying to force women to carry pregnancies to term, often against medical advice—were screaming “my body, my choice” about the inconvenience of wearing masks in a pandemic. https://twitter.com/claystorm/status/1521343952372305926
For anyone frustrated about the Alito memo on Roe, here are things you can do RIGHT NOW to fight.
1. Contact your House and Senate reps! https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
2. https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
I know this seems small, but trust me. If a politician sees their phone/e-mail ping non stop, they act.
The next steps are for tomorrow.
3. Canvas your friends and family that you keep on your phone. Make sure they're registered to vote. Tell them they NEED to vote.
For those who don't know, you will now: https://youtu.be/9GHPNKUMf70
@rokkinbobokkin Same. Probably why I get so sleepy on rainy days, lol
@LoriWasGeorgy Nice! I used to wear a fitbit but my skin started reacting to the metal so I had to stop. I miss it. But I could definitely try an auditory breathing guide.
@Woubbie I always forget those exist! I'll get some and give them a try. Thanks!
@hootenanny I also have always had problems with insomnia. Just having a sleep mask alone has helped me a lot. I bought a cheap one on a whim at the airport about a month ago and found it helped me to fall asleep faster and go back to sleep more easily when I wake up during the night. Definitely recommend at least trying that to start. The hard part for me is convincing my brain that it's time to stop doing whatever I'm doing in the evening and do to bed, lol.
The real game changer was when I realized yesterday that I can change the default sounds for each setting. The default deep sleep mode music actually made me feel restless and a little anxious due to the intensity. When I tried it before, I found myself sleeping lightly and waking up a lot. Pretty much the opposite effect from what I was going for. But switching the music out for rain also lowered the intensity of the thrumming sound (binural beats? I think?) which was exactly what I needed!
