On the news tonight: new regulation requires 3 hr min nursing care per patient.
This cut margins.
It will be a less attractive industry... which is a good thing.
IMHO we need government solutions and not market solutions for skilled nursing facilities.
I was knee deep in the SF Laguna Honda debacle for a year.

The new washing machine arrived.

NPR does qualify that this has not yet been independently confirmed.

Most are caused by humans.
But lightening is a major source of ignition.
PG&E is deploying circuit breakers on the risky lines. They cut off power in 1/10th sec. So far they seem to be working.

Undergrounding lines is a solution, but even those don't last forever. In fact, they need to be replaced more often than tower-strung cables.

I still like the idea of knowing if the community or an algorithm thinks someone is acting like a jerk before I engage them in a discussion.
And, I'd like to know if my toots are annoying people too much. Getting muted isn't obvious unless you search it out.
