The earthquake deaths in Turkey just surpassed 20,000.
Absolutely tragic.

Now, what is the "problem"?

I would consider the following:
a) Building methods that are incompatible with earthquakes that happen in that region
b) The authorities have not established procedures to address every scenario, no matter how catastrophic, to save lives when that qty of building collapses

I'm working on "b".

Ultimately, I believe the UN could provide this expedient support.

True innovations fix problems.

If there isn't a problem to fix, it's not an innovation.

If the traditional way of doing it is working, there isn't a problem to fix.

If you still think you have an innovative idea, maybe you still don't understand the problem?

@XSGeek
I was just poking the bees nest by reminiscing about the time I didn't know Eric Clapton was a racist.

I won't do it again.... :-)

I just got a notice that I've exceeded my limit on daily tweets!
I probably sent out less than 8 today.

@Anarchaeologist
Those people were probably not doing the project management function.

@Dane
I think she was hiding faery wings under those shoulder/sleeves.

@YouInMyEye
This may become a more viable project.
The water-rights issue between CA and CO now involve the consideration of evaporation.
These solar cells will lower evaporation significantly.

@Render
Greece will probably not be happy about that.

Meanwhile, that looks like a real head-jerker of a roller coaster.

Theory: No capable project manager has ever become a conspiracy theorist.

Anyone that has attempted to manage a project involving multiple people will know how hard it is to keep everyone aligned on the goal and to efficiently deliver it.

Expecting everyone to also keep it quiet, forever, is a step beyond that.

Doing it using a government organization is a step beyond that.

@Alt_Human
Besides the objective human tragedy, it is uncertain what number must be reached before the Russian people stop tolerating the carnage.

@Render
I'm surprised at the opinion that Russia can keep up production to replace the lost units.
Doesn't this assume that they can source the higher technologies that would give them an edge?

Or, does it even matter?

If they are simply playing a numbers game, these new and refurbished tanks are the metallic equivalent of the Wagner's prisoner conscripts.

If these numbers are correct, over 1000 Russian soldiers died in one day.

That doesn't happen without extraordinary incompetence in leadership and a complete lack of valuing human life.

@phase
Get some sublingual B12.
I found a spray version.
One spritz and it wakes me up in the afternoon.
But, never mix with the morning coffee. I almost crawled out of my skin doing that.

@Render
Agreed.
Seems like Waters and Clapton have been spending time together in recent years. They've both gone off their rails.

Here is what it will ultimately look like on each of the 4 columns.

The 3d printer has been delivering a lot of nice pieces for the cornice project in our guest bedroom.
Now I need to print about 140 leaves.
