I agree. I think Aristotle was at the root of this assumption.
The term "essence" is probably at the root of most people's construct of any object or thing or concept. But, if it can transition, then its essence is not immutable.

We just got another extension on the "pause" in relocating residents at Laguna Honda Hospital. It is delayed until November. 2 additional months!
Out of the 45 residents in need of skilled nursing care, 9 have died. We have 450 to go.
We could see 80 people dead if this transfer process is allowed to restart.
We're at 1649 signatures on the petition!

We heard music throughout our travels across 3 islands. One was a wedding procession! None diminished the experience.
One interesting characteristic of the recorded music was how few original songs were played. Everything was a cover song with its own twist.

Looking out upon the Acropolis tonight I'm considering how our empires rise and fall. And, how someday someone will be thinking about how incredible 2022 must have seemed to those primitive people.
