If, in the late 1930's, you knew that WW2 was going to happen, and that there were overt supporters of Hitler throughout your country, what would you do?

@corlin
It does when you start with complex systems.
Reductionism does not imply a single axes of assessment.
And, even if there are exceptions, it is still the norm and worth accepting as a tool to "understand".

Anything of sufficient complexity that is not understood can be deconstructed to more simple components that can be understood.

@process Maybe the EU model will, eventually, gain traction across the world?

@mcfate @Hyporeality
Let's just leave it there. I don't think we're making progress on my post.

@process
I'm interested in exploring the concept of no-boarders at all.

What would REALLY happen?

People would go to where the opportunities were when their local opportunities are too slim or dangerous. Most would stay "home" because people don't like change.

@mcfate @Hyporeality
They love the geography and the colored fabric that looks like the flag.

They also seem to love and support the sky-fairy that is powerful and protects them.

All of this is labeled, by them, as "country".

It's this level of simple-mindedness that causes civil wars.

@process
While this is wonderful, we should look deeper inside ourselves to understand why these refugees are any different from the Syrian refugees. Or, for that matter, anyone fleeing a war zone.
Could it be because they look like "us"?
Is that was it takes to have empathy?

@Hyporeality @mcfate
Actually, they do love the country, but don't understand what the country is all about. They are stupid and immoral.
This is the seed of civil war.

@WeThePeople
He/She does start crawling, but stops. Definitely injured.

USAF fighter jet (F18?) just did a loop over Alcatraz and headed north.

Always a bit disconcerting to see/hear this when a war is raging somewhere else.

We should never feel disconnected nor should we abstract the atrocities, in our minds, to toots/tweets.

@suullus
I still do!
I've learned where the boundaries lie and try to overcompensate.

@AlohaLifeHI
Maybe, but it might just be the % reported, or the % whom voted "yes". Trust nothing coming from a Belarussian government source.

@AlohaLifeHI
Remember how much their people protested when lukashenko wouldn't leave after losing the election?
Let's differentiate the people from the dictators.

@suullus
Completely understand!
I use resin for detailed pieces and FDM for larger pieces. I've got an 18-hr build running right now on a delta FDM.

@suullus
There are thousands of hours of video on YouTube discussing various issues and topics. I've got 2 printers myself: FDM and laser-resin.
