@HiRISE
This would be a good candidate for a future helicopter to collect samples on that dark layer!

I'd buy an anvil from ACME and drop it on the foot of the person running the poll.
HR: "I'm sorry Mr Carlson. This is the CDC recommended procedure for the COVID test on assholes."
Tucker: "But this a violation of my rights!"
HR: "Well, it is a violation of sorts. You will get used to it after a few times."

He admitted to being clinically unhinged: ...brought on by an “isolated episode of mania with psychotic features.”

And perfect for the right customer!
Pass it on to your crazy aunts & uncles! 🙂

Actually, this is a question they could have asked back in the 1880's when the Russian Flu was killing everyone.
Now it's called the Common Cold. Never ended.
@XSGeek
Ah, I've seen that too.
Some people cannot be fixed. Usually because they lack the courage to leave the cave to face their issues and start down the road of self-awareness.
Recommended Strategy: Containment.
@XSGeek
Maybe call it out as a topic?
Make it objective.
Because you are both engineers, deconstruct it like a process.
Discuss the way you approach problems and how it might irritate the other person. Ask what you do that irritates them.
Laugh about how wacky we all are.
BTW, I never do this with anyone. :-)
But, I do it with myself. As a consultant I can't create tension with the client, so I swallow my pride and apologize for the other guy.
@0x56
Just say "Stay Strong. I'm here for you if you need me. And, I'll be thinking of you until then."
@XSGeek @EnochianEntropy
I've tried to take it a step further.
I believe that there is no word that defines the threshold when a concept can be labeled with that word. For instance, how many (or which) car-parts do you need to assemble before it transitions into a "Car"? That threshold, abstractly, doesn't have a word, yet. Most words have that threshold, but we never talk about it. This would be useful in the abortion debates.
Interesting perspective on why military interventions do not work. https://nonzero.substack.com/p/afghanistan-3-unlearned-lessons
@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine
Understood. As with all complex issues, there are many factors. But, the corruption could have still existed if they successfully promoted a proud identity as Afghanis. But, the soldiers not getting paid is a pathetic issue given the US's cost overall.
