I mean no offense to anyone but... I've been a Christian all my living days, I have been a staunch believer that God will always win for those who trust him. Today, for the first time in my life, I am doubting his very existence. I don't want to say that, I've always dreaded even thinking that. But today, I am losing my religion so to speak. I am not sure my faith can recover from this. Being brutally honest.

@homebird I hear you. I don't know if this will help or is welcome. People throughout time and even recent times have suffered much worse. I don't believe He intervenes here. If He did a lot of things throughout time should not have happened. I think the message is for us to make it a better world by caring for each other.

I too am a Christian. And many other things, but they're secondary.
I know how you feel, been there many times myself. Many, many times. We're only human, and He (or She, or whatever) knows that.
At times like this, rather than question God's existence, I try to remember to question my understanding of my own existence, and of His purpose for my being here.
He has, ahem, made it clear I'm not here on vacation. 😉

@homebird Bad things can happen to good people & good things can happen to bad people. Doesn't mean God has forsaken you, me, or any group/country of people. We are going thru dark times: the New Dark Ages. The antichrist might have just been elected, maybe he will usher in the antichrist or whatever... God & the angels will still watch over us, if we ask. Bigger plots & themes are afoot in the world and/or universe than this young, crooked, little empire in its death throes...

@homebird That's understandable. Truth be told, that's a good place to be in times like these. I pray that God will reveal himself to you in new ways. Look for Him. Scream at Him. Be utterly and viscerally real as you ask those questions. If God made us with the ability to question, it's healthy and right to do so. If God is real, you *will* receive assurance.
Meanwhile, be kind to yourself.
