my mom had to deal with geese as a kid. take them to the creek and back. she hated that task😤

Geese make excellent sentries. Prisons use them. Have a separate, empty area between walls, with resident geese. No-one's sneaking through the geese, for sure, and they'll raise the alarm.
Ducks are generally tamer, though; except during egg incubation and duckling season.
