@haggardmom75 Three house fires in the last half hour in my town. One I can watch from my porch. People really aren't very smart. Central cali is arid and dry as fuck too.

@voltronic If you're out in a safe place, away from others who could be annoyed, they are fun. If they're being lit off in town, not so fun.

@thedisasterautist Yep! Hell there are Russian soldiers who were given mosins! Now don't get me wrong, I like me a good mosin, but on the modern battlefield it's nowhere near as effective. I'm sadly not surprised to see how poorly their military are doing. You can tell the ones who really wanted to fight for their country (for better or worse) died early on, and now it's all the poor people who didn't want to go in the first place.

That isn't to say you should leave behind your home country's heritage. The point of the US is supposed to be that we all come from wherever, but come together as one whole. Celebrate your heritage, and as you do, you are still one of us.

@publickovacs Sorry you feel that way. Just know that while you don't hear it because of the vocal minority, most people here welcome everyone. If you live here, everyone I know considers you one of us. When we celebrate the US we celebrate all who live here, regardless if you were born here, or moved here, later. Even if you feel hostility from some, most of us don't speak loudly because we feel its a given that you're one of us. Those who say otherwise are full of it.

@thedisasterautist For real. It's been fumble after warcrime after fumble with this war. It's really annoying seeing how many people on twitter are simping so hard for putin. Like, who's more likely to bomb a power plant, the guys who treat the POWs with respect, and are just trying to retake their homeland, or the guys who fire rockets at apartments? Idk man it's just so annoying.

Gotta say while we are celebrating over here in the US I'm still keeping in mind the shit going down on the other side of the planet. If Russia goes through with what everyone expects they'll do it'll be a rough time. I don't know if there are any Ukrainians that are on this site but if there are, you guys keep your eyes on the news and make sure you're ready to get up and go if needed. Same goes for the rest of you guys who are in close proximity to Ukraine. Stay safe <3
