@killagator And a hello back to you! I was born in Flint and still live in the area. Now that I'm retired I am looking at following my daughter to Alaska.

@kilodeltatwo It really amazes me how fast common sense goes out the window for some people. I've done some remote trips hiking, camping, canoeing. It's like some people just stop thinking and do crazy stuff the minute they can. No thought...no preparation. I always plan a safety net. I've got a daughter who worries about me!

@kilodeltatwo In 2013 I hiked a short distance on the Stampede Trail so I could say I did. I was house/dog sitting near Cantwell Alaska. If Chris McCandless had tried to follow the river south he would have arrived in Denali National Park and crossed the park road. It was about 14 miles south of his location to the park road. It's sad that people tried to revisit his location without knowing and preparing for the dangers.

@Lindy I still post to Facebook and Instagram. I also belong to several photography websites and have my own website for sales so I stay busy updating things! It fills my retirement on rainy days and I find it enjoyable.

@Lindy On quiet days at home I like to look at the images on my website and remember all the beautiful places I have been and the things I have seen. It brings peace!

@Lindy Half the fun is looking for the hidden beauty!

@Lindy That's a beautiful shot! I does look like the flower buds of Dame's Rocket though I am still learning wildflower ID's myself.

@Lindy I see them in moist areas and along roadsides here. The colors are very striking when they are in bloom.

@Lindy I believe these are Dame's Rocket. I see both white and purple in flowers in the areas they grow. They are invasive here but very common.

@CherNohlo The new set-up worked well. The bike worked great to carry me and my gear on a great ride. I went after the rain stopped and before the humidity climbed to high.

@CherNohio Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying this out! Hopefully it will help with social distancing too. When I'm taking pictures people come right up to me to see what I'm doing. This might get me further down the trail!

Normally I carry a backpack when out taking nature pictures. Today I upgraded to a mountain bike with panniers for my gear. I have room for my 6' tripod and a folding camp stool too. On the handle bars I've mounted my GoPro so I can record my ride. Now it's supposed to rain for the next 5 days!
