You know, I liked having fairy lights around (the inside of) my living room window so much over Christmas that I think I'm gonna have some around there year round. I' an adult, I can like pretty sparkly lights if I want.
I might get some fancier ones though. Have one set for Christmas and one regular set for every other part of the year. Shaped like flowers or birds or something.
Got a skin check today. As an almost translucent, freckled ginger, and watching Dad get multiple skin cancers removed, I'm definitely more aware of my skin than is probably normal. Thankfully all clear despite new bumps, 12 months until my next one π

Was able to get some of my audiobook in today at work and in the car.
Book 8 of #wheeloftime was hard to read, it's such a slog, but I am finding it easier to digest as audio.
Back at the office this morning, and I honestly thought for a good while that I was going to be the only one in today π€£
There's 3 of us here (& a few of our remote colleagues are online today too) so not so lonely after all.

It seems an impossible dream, but my wish for the world is to show each other a bit more love.

Our kiddo turned 7 today, it was a long day but he says he's had a good birthday which is awesome. His night ends with the early fireworks on the TV for NYE, and ours not long afterwards π€£
I'm not afraid to admit that I am terrified of the coming years when kiddo gets bigger and stronger.
His meltdown tonight meant a punch in the head to his Dad. He's days away from turning 7 but what will happen when he's a teen?
We need to get better at identifying those triggers before they go from 0-100, and helping him through them so they don't.
