Got a skin check today. As an almost translucent, freckled ginger, and watching Dad get multiple skin cancers removed, I'm definitely more aware of my skin than is probably normal. Thankfully all clear despite new bumps, 12 months until my next one π
@ExecutiveFunction404 glad to hear you're all good too! Here's to the next 12 months π
My Dad just really liked to sunbathe despite also being a translucent redhead. ππ€·
That's like my MIL, without the translucence and red hair, but she lives in Florida and goes to the tanning bed *even after* having skin cancer! I don't get it. Meanwhile, I'm slathering on sunscreen to make up for the lack of it when I was young and getting annual FBS. Lol.
My dad had 100% Irish heritage, also with a full head of red hair, and I inherited his skin.
Hopefully your dad recovered & decided the sun worship isn't worth it π
@gabzi3la
I just had mine before the new year. I also call myself practically translucent, π. Dad also had skin cancer, but worked as an electrician in buildings being built in NYC for a while. I was worried about a couple, but the derm said they were still looking good, just keep en eye on em.
Happy for your clean report, as well! It's a fun annual tradition lol
