Okay, I gotta 'fess up, y'all. I'm having a go of it trying to be the calm, stable adult in the house. Son and I had to start the claim process with our insurance. Well, I learned that his car didn't just wreck; it rolled. Ffs. I've already lost one son. To find out that kiddo #2 was closer to... I don't even want to say it.

Subconscious is telling me how stressed I truly am by way of using dreams. CPTSD is a MFer. Not letting it win today, just for today.

Yes to blood donations! Fwiw though, after decades of submitting donations and labwork, I still can't watch when the needle gets inserted. Even worse were medical procedures on my late special needs son. Blood draws from his scalp as an infant - necessary, but omg! 😢

Household adjustments are being made to make son's life a little easier. Given that my gentle giant will be wearing a back brace for a few months, even minor bending to lift the toilet lid was a hardship. Lid stays down to protect Diego the Cat from misadventure.

4-ply acrylic worsted (6 sc tube), 2 wood popsicle sticks, duct tape. Voila!

Gotta love some of these food quirks our pets develop, huh? Especially cats. Back in the '80s my sister and I had a pair of sibling cats. Jazz, her jet black slinky guy, demanded a pinch of unbrewed coffee grounds every morning. His brother, my big, burly tabby, Spice, loved plain, cooked spaghetti noodles. A few years later, I had a tortie calico, Miss Mojo, who had a penchant for stealing Doritos. Crunching noises beneath the couch was how I found that out.

Ooh! There are two pairs of cardinals nesting along the tree line this spring! 🙂
