Whoa, major truth bomb. Serenity has its place, but grant me the humility, ya know?

Love to all y'all. 💖

Well, it's currently 67°F and blissfully peaceful in my neck o' . Sitting on the stoop, there's patchy light fog on the ground, but a handful of pretty, twinkling stars overhead. One of my bunny neighbors stopped by to say hello, and this busy tank of an armadillo has got to be one of the largest ones I've ever seen-- bigger than a basketball!

It feels weird, almost unsettling, to have the place to myself today. For two weeks, 23 was pet sitting in town. Glad that's done. Well, during that period, he started a new job and was picking up 15 from school in the afternoons. As of yesterday afternoon, though, his car is at the mechanic's until further notice, so he's driving mine.

Then, late on Sunday night, several regional school districts received threats of violence via social media...

Then, late on Sunday night,

Note to self: find black facemask

But yeah, my awesome @TerraFang is starting to rock them Samhain vibes. 🤩

Like I really needed any more reasons to not move back to . Sorry, Mom.

So far, so good. The pen drill worked well for setting the pegs. Hardest part of making this basic lap loom was measuring the spacing in bad lighting. Even with a neck lamp the counts on top and bottom were mismatched. Was able to make a 1cm wide band to fasten around the frame which was slid to mark both top & bottom peg locations in pairs, thus ending the one-off counts.

Okay, 15 & 23 are both out for the night. Cat is fed and napping. Got plenty of SF beverages, and a variety of NatGeo/Nova/History Channel episodes to enjoy. It's time for the measuring and drilling to begin! 😀

Yes, that is who you think it is. Sincerest apologies to the Amish and Mennonite communities.

Looking forward to the arrival of an early birthday gift to myself. First project, a basic lap loom made from a recycled wood picture frame, is ready to happen. Been fighting impatience; at only 8mm apart, hammering brads into the frame would likely split the wood. Why manual drilling? Focus, plain and simple.

A needed rain band is approaching. Great, except that early this morning a major intersection in Mt. Home was forced into becoming a 4-way stop until further notice.

Heaven knows there's too many in the Twin Lakes area whose driving skills suck even in good conditions. And this on the last day of the Baxter County Fair, to boot. Good luck, dear townies!

Yes, privately I've been a bit of a mess lately. Thought the 2nd anniversary was a few days from now. Makes sense, considering I didn't know until a couple of days later.

Been reorganizing & de-stashing lately to de-stress. Frogged a few old WIPs. Found several forgotten oddball skeins as well.

2 weeks ago: burgundy Red Heart crochet thread on 2.5 mm circulars; cowl/head wrap

Last week: mystery cotton, non-mercerized, beaded knit & crochet doily for vintage glass cider penny jug

Tonight: started Caron SS "Victorian Rose"; one-skein reversible muffler.

Basic knit/purl stuff, but worthwhile.

So, does anybody else want to tell me what I do or do not know?

Anyone?
