Today's adulting began before sunrise. I'm sleep deprived, and the kids and I have been fighting sinus/upper respiratory crap since Friday. This cranky ol' bitch needs a nap, amongst other things. Whatever. Play nice. Or not. But nice is generally better. KTHXBAI.

A cacophony of fireworks as a line of thunderstorms approaches. I'm contentedly enjoying a few minutes on the stoop, happy that my wee citronella candle has not yet succumbed to increasing winds. Thunder is louder than the pyrotechnics now. It won't be long until the rain starts. #LifeIsGood
