“Spelt flour”

It is “almost but not quite” wheat flour. Sort of your “I want to be wheat and yet be really good for you”—which it is.

And it is spelt “Spelt Wheat” as well.

Madison Square Garden: “And yet, behind the lurid carnival barkery of Hulk Hogan and Rudy Giuliani and BeDazzled Alina Habba and the ghoulish malevolence of Stephen Miller and Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk, perhaps the the enduring message here was not the blatant “banality of evil,” or even that “the cruelty is the point,” but the ease with which the enshittification of democracy itself is the real endgame of the Trump campaign.”

And that’s where we are at.

Easy money?

Or just more work?

“Apple is taking its server safety very seriously. The $3.5 trillion software giant is challenging hackers to break into the company’s tech—and a $1 million cheque is up for grabs to those who succeed”

“ “Black Insurrectionist,” the anonymous social media persona behind some of the most widely circulated conspiracy theories about the 2024 election, can be traced to a man from upstate New York.
He’s also white.”

Why does this not surprise me?

Or buy a different mouse.

This guy wants to buy a DIFFERENT computer all because he doesn’t like the design of the mouses power port.

JFC!

“Putting the USB-C port directly in the center of the base of the Magic Mouse is an example of Apple falling off this tightrope. With literally any other wireless mouse, plugging in a cable to charge it doesn’t directly impact your ability to use it — but in the vein of keeping things clean, you physically can’t use the Magic Mouse while it’s charging.”

Or, and let me point out how stupid this argument is, you buy a SECOND mouse and never worry about this again.

@Bix

This isn’t adjudication using the Constitution, it’s federal disenfranchisement.

@Bix

This is not adjudication: it is SCOTUS violating the Constitution: Congress wrote the law. Only Congress can change it.

The Republicans made shit up out of thin air to justify their decision.

Biden isn’t running for office. Did he already forget that?

“Former president Donald Trump and his MAGA allies pounced Tuesday night after President Joe Biden appeared to call the Republican nominee’s supporters ‘garbage,’ hoping to engineer a backlash similar to 2016 when Hillary Clinton dubbed them ‘deplorables.’”

Harris didn’t say it. No amount of spin outs those words in her mouth.

Trump called Democrats the “enemy from within”—those words came out of HIS mouth.

@CanisVeritum

Trump actually clarified he meant Democrats the MSG rally. His campaign tried to spin it to him meaning migrants.

Trump clarified to mean Americans are the enemy.

yahoo.com/news/trump-singles-d

An incomplete list of Trump insulting America and Americans.

That “comedian” wasn’t an accident.

He wants to be President to avoid prison.

Um… some of do not grow beards… 😁

I remember watching a mystery and I the first few minutes of it I said, “The older woman did it.”

The reason (which was explained in the show): older women are invisible to society. We AT BEST are ignored. We are no more than background.

Anyway, the rest of the show was kind of amusing as the detective spent 45 minutes figuring out what was painfully obvious.

<sigh>

Ugh, I am stressing out so much my face is all broke out. Not a good look in your late 60’s. Not like anyone looks at me.

“Luckily, some researchers are genetically modifying crops like wheat, tomatoes, and peaches to make them more climate resilient.”

So they will survive droughts?

I don’t think these people really understand the severity.

Also, I’m not banking on a 20 something having an overwhelming life experience in science to really understand the complexity.

Everything seems much easier at that age.

But, hey, that’s me.

“NOT THAT LONG AGO, red-flag laws were widely touted as a bipartisan solution to gun violence. Both Donald Trump and the National Rifle Association had endorsed them. But then the laws became a centerpiece of reform for the Biden administration, and a backlash from Second Amendment groups and the far-right ensued. Since 2020, four Republican-controlled states, including Wyoming, have implemented a prohibition on such laws.”

Ban them till suicides drop? What morons.

@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine @sentientdessert

True.

I’m now stuck in a universe where Americans think a racist, sexist, rapist, narcissistic convict who sells Chinese goods is considered the second coming of Jesus.

My previous universe had problems, but JFC this one is nuts!

Convict talks about America and it is again as if he watched too many Mad Max movies.

Here’s the thing: he is constantly mad. His father, Fred Trump, told him to never show his emotions. This has created a conflict to the point that Trump doesn’t understand what love is: everything is transactional.

You don’t fight in wars unless there is something in it for you.

You don’t donate your time.

You don’t run for President unless there is something for you (no prison time).

@BLuOXide

By coincidence, this is the same one I use when Trump says he is the most persecuted, most persecuted person in history.
