,Bill Ackman in the most long winded way, admits a conspiracy theory he pushed heavily as true, was in fact a lie:

“It seems pretty clear that the alleged @abc whistleblower debate story claiming that @KamalaHarris was given questions in advance and other advantages was a fake”

Apparently not clear enough for the billionaire.

Seriously, are ALL billionaires that easily fooled?!? How did they make their money?

thedailybeast.com/billionaire-

@feloneouscat @abc: They often do it by shell games, and not infrequently they don't *do* anything other than earn percentages and/or some measure of ownership in whatever schemes they "network" to others for those people to actually invest in, and then they pay way lower taxes because much of it is investment income, not labor. They also "upsell" things they got floated on credit. That's what Vivian Ramsajanwany did.

@feloneouscat @abc I worked with rich people and it occurred to me many of them got rich thru dumb luck!

@BFBucky1 @abc

I dealt with venture capitalists at one time and they will tell you (proudly) that only 10% of the companies they invest in actually turn a profit.

The majority go under.

And who is at the helm? The venture capitalists.

I leaned a very important lesson then: capitalism ISN’T smart at all.

(BTW, the company I was at went under)

@feloneouscat @abc

Oh, and to answer the billionaire question - nepobaby. Silver spoon in the mouth and gold chip on the shoulder.

@feloneouscat @abc Well, with billionaires pretty much exclusively being bottom-feeding economic leeches who rely on others to do practically everything for them, I don't find the fact that many seem to be rather stupid, gullible, and downright incompetent surprising.

Seems to me they are cut from the same cloth as the average business major, and at least in my experience the average business major's intelligence compares unfavourably to that of a sack of rocks.

@b4cks4w @IrelandTorin @abc

I prefer ‘box of rocks’ purely for the fact it flows nicely off the tongue.

I have only know one very rich person who was happy, charming and smart. (They were also good looking, friendly and upbeat).

I know, sounds impossible (they were also in a happy relationship!!!)

@feloneouscat @b4cks4w @IrelandTorin @abc I have lived in a few places that had a lot of extremely wealthy people and it truly does seem to be the minority of them that were truly genuinely happy humans ,it seems to wreck a lot of people!

@Tattoomonkey29 @feloneouscat @b4cks4w @abc I would say being rich is not what wrecks them, but rather the personality traits, upbringing, and background that lead and enable them to get into that position in the first place.

Which is to say it seems to me most of them are complete and utter douchebags through-and-through, obsessed with money over practically all else, and the result is persistent deep unhappiness.

@IrelandTorin @abc

Now, now, don’t hold back…

I’ve known millionaire in my life. One I confronted at a party and he expressed to me he was a very happy person (when I expressed my opinion otherwise).

For the rest of the night he complained how no one had it as rough as he did.

And he wasn’t Trump.
