@corlin

“Conservatives in Disarray” is precisely the opposite message from that conveyed by all the coverage of Project 2025. But it is an important component of this complexity, and why this text should be picked apart, not panicked over

@corlin yup

The Heritage Foundation’s 900-page Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise, the anchor of the marquee right-wing think tank’s Project 2025, is not what you’ve heard. It’s not some book of magic spells for President Trump’s minions to cast, and poof goes away every last vestige of truth, justice, and the American way. For one thing, much of it is too dumb to accomplish anything at all.

@AnneW @BlueStateBabe all the live reports I'm seeing not one has named him yet

In fact FBI says it is “working feverishly to identify the individual in most outlets

Sidenote; him being Republican wouldn't surprise me how many Republicans by now have actually been conned by trump him being in his 20s is a surprising, a little, but then we don't know maybe his mum/dad were conned by trumps many grifts - that said we really know nothing yet

@AnneW @BlueStateBabe yeah they are saying 20yr old male but are they naming a name ?

When I looked it was 20yr old male from Pennsylvania they were all saying and FBI haven't officially said anything else - are they naming that 20 yr old?

@BlueStateBabe @AnneW btw new York post is the only outlet naming the shooter

FBI haven't formally named anyone yet - so I'd air on caution with that name being real when its coming from one outlet alone all the rest of media are not naming anyone as of yet - wonder why

@Usama_Backhair @Render @th3j35t3r

idk ever other outlet are saying FBI have yet to fully identify him - only saying he's a 20 something male from Pennsylvania

I'd air on caution when only 1 outlet is naming a name so far

Meanwhile:

Putin signs bill banning lawmakers from leaving Russia without permission - a move likely aimed at curtailing dissent among the country's elite over his struggling invasion of Ukraine. The law does not state who should approve overseas trips, only stating that the upper and lower chambers should decide for themselves. Lawmakers who break the law may lose their seat

Netflix - gotta say I do like that Netflix will stop a show I'm watching just to kinda ask if I'm still watching it 😂😂

Just realised I was watching something about 4, maybe 6, hours ago

Shooting conspiracies trend on X as Musk endorses Trump

theverge.com/2024/7/13/2419804

Threads occasionally displayed conspiracy-related posts atop its trending topic for the incident, but they didn’t appear to surface consistently - YouTube surfaced news clips and largely directed search results toward news reports

And it's conspiracy theories from the left "false flag" "staged" that seem to be trending

Seven sins

Have you ever felt pain?
Stomach-wrenching, unrelenting, tell me
Have you ever felt pain?
Condescending, muscles clenching, tell me
Have you ever felt pain?
A rose emerges from the pavement cracks
They'll write my eulogy with broken glass
Eternal parallax (pain)

have meant that little has been done in practice to prevent kleptocratic wealth and political agendas from entering Britain.

this paper (from 2021) details how the UK is ill-equipped to assess the risk of corruption from transnational kleptocracy, which has undermined the integrity of important domestic institutions and weakened the rule of law
