So on Christmas Eve at 11:59 pm, I turned 8 years sober!

Thank you everybody, my sobriety means everything to me! It's not always easy but it's always worth it! Putting the drink down is the easy part. And for me I also had to quit smoking otherwise I would want to drink and vice versa because they both go hand in hand so this coming April will be 6 years smoke free as well!

Sorry I pressed enter a little too soon... the hard part is dealing with the bullshit that goes on in my head... We all have our demons...

So very true for me too, though not with alcohol or smoking. I used to smoke occasionally (like a pack a month or not for many months) but I stopped in 2009 and yet lately I've been craving a cigarette. They helped calm my nerves.

Congrats on 8 years.
The first eight are the hardest eight.

Trust me at 22 years clean and sober my head still lies to me occasionally.

HEEY😊 CONGRATULATIONS🎉 So PROUD Of you.❤️
PRAYERS🙏 for you that you may stay strong on your journey.😊

BLESS You.💚

@duglop 🎉 Awesome!! Congrats on the hard work , especially with the smoking! 33 years in and I have never been able to kick nicotine, I did switch to vaping about 10 years ago which works for me:)
