Oprah's wig looked so damn good, I have to assume she has no natural hair at all.

Damn, that was some serious Breck girl hairstyling.

@Alfred Please explain the effects and aftereffects of microwave radiation on foods.

Hey. I've got a new tractor in the barn. Want to see it?

Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury, is as incompetent and complicit as crooked Merrick Garland as AG.

She's absolutely failed to ensure the Secret Service is neutral, effective, and both incorruptible & loyal to the constitution.

The fascist actors embedded in civil servant and other positions in government are still free to follow their own agenda. They don't fear facing justice.

And they should. We used to hang traitors. I'm a big fan of capital punishment.

If you're watching the news about, or experiencing extreme, dangerous weather; be aware that it's only going to get worse from here on out.

There's nowhere in the world that's going to avoid danger as the earth responds to the way we've abused it the last 150 years.

Hang onto your hats, folks: it's gonna be a bumpy ride. Good luck, and be well.

At the Calder exhibit at Seattle Art Museum. Just got told off for blowing on a mobile.

His art was designed to move - but the museum can't allow it to be shown that way, in case it gets damaged.

Considering how simply one could reproduce/ repair the works, they really aren't displaying his art, but simply his constructions.

They learn this in "art" school, I guess.

Meh.

How about let's stop carving out tax loopholes to exploit, and simply tax all income the same.

No lower tax on passive income (capital gains), business profits vs wages, or share ownership as salary.

Tax it all the same, with tough marginal rates. Boom! No more deficit, a start on fixing wealth inequality, lower rates for people who need them - not for rich pricks.

So I read a couple good Substacks, and thought it might be a good spot to make some substantive posts.

Alas, no. I'm on Android, so Substack only supports "Notes". I can do notes pretty much anywhere.

Get your shit together, Substack!

Shout out for the Phoenix institution with the most amazing Chile Relleno ever:

Here's another politics-free offering for this fine Friday: Frankie Goes to Hollywood, "Welcome to the Pleasuredome", live in 2004.

JD Vance's job was PR for the Iraq War. He sucked so bad at that job, that Tom Walz left the Army reserves on the promise of ending that war.

If JD Vance was better at PR, he wouldn't have to face Tim Walz as an opponent.

FYI, less than 15% of soldiers ever see combat.
The dude at the supply depot, driving a forklift, is just as vital to the combat mission as the guy pointing the gun.
The typist at the Pentagon has to do their job, or things at the front lines will go wrong.

For everyone on the ground getting combat pay, there's 8 people supporting them.
