79$ a year for backblaze backup on my computer and it's been worth that since 2019.
The continually backup has saved my ass 3 times now. I had a drive fail and was able to restore everything via a cocktail of methods including backblaze
It helped restore access to a Minecraft mod pack curseforge auto migration gone wrong.
And most recently restored access to my GTA 5 autosave, that I forgot was an autosave and thus accidentally overwrote with a new run of the game
The restlessness of having COVID combined with my ADHD has really set in today, unfortunately it's also raining outside as well so I can't even enjoy this unusually warm (50f / 10c) December day.
Videogames aren't cutting it today, I don't want to work on any of my various side projects
And while I want to sort through some of my doom boxes that's 2 much effort to get everything set up to properly sort through them :/

Yesterday I ended up winded while moving a 40lb bag 12 feet from the stack to the pellet stove. That's something I never expected to feel in my life. Luckily that's been the worst of my second infection of COVID besides Saturday when my throat was sore

Love it, it seems the chief twit found out about the microservice responsible for sending out push notifications for "accounts you might be interested in" and had demanded that everytime he tweets that service fires off.
Either way that microservice seems to have become "very excited" about sending me all his tweets in the last 24 hours #twitter
the raspberry pi I hosted my Unifi controller on lost 3 / 4 gigs of ram yesterday in the wee hours of the morning.
so needless to say that was a FUN Sunday.

The detoxing from Twitter is a process. It is difficult for some to accept the fact that Twitter isn't a real place. There are millions of fake accounts, bots, and socks using automation to drive derision because it sells, and drives the product(yes you are their product) to provide data they can sell. We are social creatures & thinking you were engaging 20K people is a drug hiding in plain sight. Civility & empathy are dead there, its a corner stone here.

A lot of #Resistance people are being played.
Whether it's Occupy Democrats or overly prolific tweeters with big follower numbers, you may be hooked on people who just want to monetize you.
Who exactly are these people you are reading? What are their credentials? Their motives? Are they posting original material and analysis or simply copying others' work? Are they just pumping outrage?
Be especially careful who you give money to. Grifting operations span the political spectrum.

On #twitter, a massive Space happening right now. It feels like a wake.
Many high follower count users. All of them lamenting the value Twitter provided them.
IMO that's the biggest, massive failure of the platform. It stopped connecting people to people. It now connects people to audiences.
Those audiences are tuned for engagement, not for positive interaction. Remember that always.
