Pardon my uncouth behavior here.
This is a sub-toot.
I you wish to block me, cool, I ain't got no problems with that.
But please no need to announce it. You don't need a reason. You don't need to justify anything. Just hit the block button. The tools are freely given everyone.

The whole point of putting moderation controls in the user's hands is for us to use them. At will. With no bad feelings.

The usual disclaimer:

As with any breaking news. But especially with war news. Be very careful in not reporting unconfirmed information. Yes it is important to stay informed, yet early reporting about anything in the Middle East is often suspect.

If you must post, and are not sure, please add the word "Unconfirmed."

"What is ADMS, anyways!?"

That DIRECT MESSAGE (DM) is often great in the moment, but we think that there's usually very little reason for it to stick around.

That's why we added the:

Automatic
Direct
Message
Scrubber

If enabled, the ADMS Pro account feature will automagically delete any DM you send or recieve, keeping your DMs column nice and tidy.

This was on MSNBC, in response to a question. "Do you think Trump will obey the gag order, even if fined?"

Just now.

"I have a hard time envisioning Trump making it all the way through this trial, without landing in a jail cell at some point."

The most annoying bad habit in trying to help people.

To slightly rephrase: the most annoying habit is to not ask people if they want help before just offering it—and trust me on this—it is really fucking annoying to the person you’re theoretically trying to help.

A great tool for dealing with this annoying habit. Wait until your friend is done telling their story and then ask them “Are you venting or looking for advice?”

Morning Forest Walk About

Late getting started.
Not wearing a watch.
My thoughts turn from myself,
to the small place I place my walking staff.
The inside of my head often lies,
about the inside of my head.
Placing the staff with intent,
I take a step.

REQUEST: I wouldn't normally ask something like this, but feel free to hit up /@GooglePlay over on Twitter regarding their removal of our app because of utter bullshit. We had reporting and moderation tools already and we've just added more visibility to them:

( I don't share this guy often, because he has some crazy ideas, but this critique of the Biden administration policy in Ukraine is right on. At some point the US and our allies are going to have to take the gloves off and kick Russia's butt. The sooner we do that the less lives will be lost and the less expensive it will be.)

CounterSocial, the most well-moderated social media platform in existence, has been temporarily removed from Google's app store because—wait for it—they say that there isn't a way to REPORT objectionable content.

We're posting this information to encourage Google to tap on the three dots located on the bottom of EVERY post. It's right there.

There used to be a diner in Chicago, open very early in the morning. I ate dinner there often as I worked graveyard. It specialized in waffles, eggs, and Scrapple, otherwise known as Pannhaas. That and weirdly chicory coffee. Run by this huge Dutch short order cook. Ex merchant Marine. Both arms, completely tattooed.

So good.
