Good morning, CoSo! I haven’t been able to post the last few days, I got laid off…
I’m ok but I have to start with the serious job hunting nonsense.
If you happen to know anyone looking for a remote-work Graphic/Web Designer please let me know.
Thanks Everyone! I’ll post when I can…hopefully later today!
@Meekspees Guilty pleasures, but I can admit, I enjoyed several songs by Creed. A few by Nickelback. Gimme some Neil Diamond, anytime. Or Coldplay. And I can't help but be happy when I hear The Monkees.
Playing off @Meekspees What band(s) do you like that most people do not?

Metal is such an interesting genre. One album I've enjoyed over the last few years came out in 2019. It's a wonderfully deep concept album, written by an unknown artist after learning of his dad's terminal cancer diagnosis. I can't write a more thoughtful or complete review than Angry Metal Guy did (see link below). Here is track 1 from Sermon on the album Birth of the Marvellous.

When I am down and having a hard time coping I have a playlist I repeat. I'll share some songs on the list, link them, and explain what I get from these songs.

Discovering a band that is new (to me), and whose music makes me wonder "how have I not heard this before?" is a joy to me. Why aren't these guys more famous?
The Dear Hunter is a band I only discovered in the last 2 or 3 years whose compositions, production and artistry have made them a personal favorite. Here are the first two tracks from the album "Act V: Hymns with the Devil in Confessional":
Excuse me while I freak out a bit because MY PROPOSALS FOR THE 2023 PARLIAMENT OF THE WORLD'S RELIGIONS WERE ACCEPTED!

There is something in my brain that attracts me to songs with unusual time signatures, difficult time changes, ticking clocks and polyrhythms (especially polyrhythms). I'm pretty sure it has something to do with how I self-score on RAADS, but that is a topic for another day's discussion. In the meantime, here's another example that tickles my lobes. From Clément Belio, here is Chromatic Curtain:

Favorite cover songs? I'll start. HIM - Wicked Game. I love Chris Isaac's version too, but this one is more my speed. #CoSoMusic #him
