@NorCalCherylLyn Six of those trees snapped off at the roots, underground. I am counting trees that we preemptively took down because they were likely to fall. Hope yours stay in the ground!

Plus the two big ones fell right on top of what I had been calling "the mushroom field" because there are so many mushrooms there and now I won't be able to see what's new because I don't think I can crawl through the branches to have a look. 😞

Greetings from Northern California. It is 44F here and dark. Yesterday I found three more eucalyptus trees had come down at the creek. 2 big ones, 1 small one. They didn't fall on any fences but they are blocking access to a portion of the field that will need to be mowed come summer. Total trees lost to the winter storms: 11 and counting.

Greetings! It is dark and 45F. Not currently raining. Last night's power outage didn't last all that long but it got to 58F in the house, which is cold. Anyway, I have delicious tea and am hoping for calmer weather than yesterday.

Not even a week after buying a new printer, Amazon thinks I would like to buy another one. Would it REALLY be that hard to not recommend recent purchases?

I have my new shredder and my new printer! The new printer is my first ever non-HP printer, but I don't want to do business with a company that deliberately borks my $$$ device.

The tree service is here and it is both mesmerizing and terrifying to watch the guy in the cherry picker and the one standing in another tree easily 20 feet up. I don't care if they have those shoe picks and harnesses, it looks dangerous. There is also a LOT of physics going on about what to tie where and where to cut . . .

I decided to move my car now as opposed to leaving for shopping early. Pretty good thinking for this early! I have coffee No. 2.
