Greetings from Northern California. It is 44F here and dark. Yesterday I found three more eucalyptus trees had come down at the creek. 2 big ones, 1 small one. They didn't fall on any fences but they are blocking access to a portion of the field that will need to be mowed come summer. Total trees lost to the winter storms: 11 and counting.
My tea is delicious this morning. Have a wonderful day!
@cjewel that’s a lot of downed trees! I’ve been afraid of that here, we’re surrounded by eucalyptus. Luckily only one of the neighbor’s came down…so far. The winds have been horrendous this year!
@NorCalCherylLyn Six of those trees snapped off at the roots, underground. I am counting trees that we preemptively took down because they were likely to fall. Hope yours stay in the ground!
@cjewel they made it so far…🤞🏻🤞🏻
Plus the two big ones fell right on top of what I had been calling "the mushroom field" because there are so many mushrooms there and now I won't be able to see what's new because I don't think I can crawl through the branches to have a look. 😞
