Today I was called a “Civil Bitch.” It made me question myself because I know I can be sarcastic. I hope that is not what I am. But then again, is there something wrong when I tell the truth & I try to be kind at the same time? Or maybe I’m a bitch & I just don’t know it.
@MisterE that made me giggle, truly out loud. I’m a b but a civil b.
@carmahaz Wear it with pride you Civil Bitch 😘
@VirginMaryCandle Ty...not easy for me.
@carmahaz Fake it til ya make it. We're hear to remind you if you ever need it. 😊😊😊
@carmahaz @VirginMaryCandle Don’t let it bother you. That’s why it was said. To make you step back. Shrug it off.
@Kitty62862 @VirginMaryCandle yep, it worked, you’re right.
I just love that VMC boosted this. I think she wants you to own your blunt nature gf!
@carmahaz My friend, let me share a little something. Maybe it’s useful. Maybe not. You decide. When someone says something like that, it’s two things. First, it’s a backhanded compliment. Second, it’s not so subtly a sexist warning shot (even from another woman). You spoke your mind without being inappropriate (civil) but you attempted to lay it on the line. Girls aren’t supposed to (sarcasm). That’s where bitch comes in. If they called you a “civil” bitch, you did nothing wrong.
@Kitty62862 I’ll take that. Ty
@carmahaz Well, that's a neat trick. Now I want someone to call *me* that! I usually just got "uppity bitch"!
@AvaSpeaksUp I think they are almost synonymous lol
@carmahaz But it's practically the *one kind* of bitch I've never been called.... I feel almost left out!! LOL!!
@carmahaz I mean, come on... at varying times in my life there have been (join in ladies if you've heard any of these or if I miss any):
* uppity bitch
* skinny bitch
* fat bitch
* teeny (tiny) bitch
* little bitch
* brainy bitch
* stupid bitch
* too smart for her own good bitch
* too big for her britches bitch
* blonde bitch
* poor bitch
* skanky bitch
* white bitch
* puta bitch
* broke (ass) bitch
* rich (ass) bitch
and the ever popular favorite:
* fucking bitch.
But not ONCE a civil one!!
@AvaSpeaksUp so there is also stuck up bitch. My favorite is when I am called a ‘Cunt’...my response has become ‘you mean THUNDER CUNT’, right!?! @carmahaz words have power and I take back the power 😉
@AvaSpeaksUp @carmahaz ok technically I say, ‘that’s Dr. THUNDER Cunt to you’ lol
@Thumprhare @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp Oh my goodness I’m totally using this next time I’m called that. (and sorry for jumping in mid convo)
@yogapaddlerun feel free to use it! Then you can carefully use a well placed clap while making thunder sounds too. It’s the beauty of being bullied and harassed as a kid—sassy smart mouth. 😜 @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp
@Thumprhare Totally hear you about being sassy smart mouth from being bullied. I’ve been called a verbal executioner as adult. @AvaSpeaksUp @carmahaz
@yogapaddlerun love it! @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp
@yogapaddlerun @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp @Thumprhare
Is it wrong that I LOVE this thread?
How about hysterically funny bitches? Am I allowed to say that? (Runs out of room)
@MountainMan I love that ya love it!! I appreciate the addition of hysterically funny bitches!! @yogapaddlerun @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp
@Thumprhare @AvaSpeaksUp @carmahaz @yogapaddlerun
It was very funny, if somewhat sad that y’all get called those names.
@MountainMan the more benign things women are called daily @yogapaddlerun @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp
@Thumprhare @AvaSpeaksUp @carmahaz @yogapaddlerun
I have no doubt
@Thumprhare @carmahaz @yogapaddlerun @MountainMan Definitely more benign. And not nearly as creative as some people are getting nowadays.
@MountainMan Nothing is more threatening to some than intelligent, fearless women. @carmahaz @AvaSpeaksUp @Thumprhare
@yogapaddlerun @Thumprhare @AvaSpeaksUp @carmahaz
Are you threatening me? 😂
This just makes me think of Beavis and Butthead... "Are you threatening me? I need TP for my bunghole!"
Isn't that funny? Sometimes your best bet to get out of a situation is to act more fearful? I *HATE* that!!
@AvaSpeaksUp I’ve never been able to do that, but I’ve seen my friends use that effectively. I end up going full Wookiee @MountainMan @carmahaz @Thumprhare
I'm tiny. I've had to do it a couple of times. It sucks. Fucking everybody is bigger than me. I have wrists like toothpicks. In junior high people used to just pick me up and carry me for fun.
NOTE TO MEN: Don't fucking do that to small people!! We fucking HATE that!!
@MountainMan @carmahaz @Thumprhare @yogapaddlerun
P.S. - I would pay money to see what full Wookie entails!!
@AvaSpeaksUp Pretty much very loud and knocking people over. @Thumprhare @carmahaz @MountainMan
@yogapaddlerun @MountainMan @carmahaz @Thumprhare
Still, though... greenbacks on the bar!!
@yogapaddlerun @MountainMan @Thumprhare @AvaSpeaksUp Serves my more militant mood. It’s always amusing when students come into class after break & some of my metal is playing
@AvaSpeaksUp Can see that! I come from good farm stock, threw shot put in high school, so am exceptionally strong. Plus my LEO father taught me self defense from a young age. College nickname was “The Enforcer” 🤣@MountainMan @carmahaz @Thumprhare
Oh, I fight if I have to. I've been physically attacked 3 times. Fought my way out all 3. But those were one-on-one, no choice, fight or get raped, fight-fights. But I'm talking about the "guy trying to intimidate you in public" like on mass transit or in a bar type deal. You don't really need to fight there. You just need to appear frightened & someone else will step in & get him off you. I grew up in a family of all cops or firefighters. Tinies pick their battles. If you ->
@yogapaddlerun -> fight in those situations, you become a fun, entertaining thing to watch and no one helps you. Then you end up getting hurt because you've stung somebody who is bigger than you's pride. So, that way is a no go. Much better to curl up helpless and let someone else white knight it. And it usually ends without them getting hurt because they can make someone see the error of their ways for picking on the tiny person.
@yogapaddlerun @Thumprhare @MountainMan @AvaSpeaksUp Yeah, if I didn’t already like my name I might even change it. I’ll embrace my inner Civil Bitch. (Better than the POS that said last night I was just needing some, & shoulda gotten what Bill Clinton had to offer)
Why the fuck would you need some shriveled up, old man dick? I don't know how old you are, but you're fully capable of going out and getting whatever kind of dick you want, any old time you want... *if* and that's a mighty big *if* you want it & all the headaches that come along with it!! Did you kindly tell that person to fuck off?? I hope I hope I hope!!
@AvaSpeaksUp @yogapaddlerun @Thumprhare @carmahaz @MountainMan Ava So glad that I’m not the only one who was schlepped about sans permission...& if one more dude thinks it’s funny to rest his arm on my head, he might retrieve a bloody stump. That shit is obnoxious & anymore, it’s painful.
@Evvie @carmahaz @Thumprhare @yogapaddlerun @AvaSpeaksUp
Serious question here. Is it offensive to short women when a taller guy crouches slightly when their picture is being taken?
I’m 9” taller than my wife and she makes a face when I do this. I feel like it makes for better pictures.
@MountainMan @AvaSpeaksUp @yogapaddlerun @Thumprhare @carmahaz depends...totally depends on the circumstances at the time of the pic. Examples: my bro does it to be annoying/pick on me. Not cool. When I was touring with punk bands the guys were all HUGE compared to me. The ‘shortest’ was abt a foot taller than I am. They would - usually at the last second & not making a huge deal abt it - duck down for photos. If I caught them, they would say ‘I’m all Lurch-y behind you’ 😂 THAT was ok. 😁
I'd ask her how she feels about it. It's different for everybody. I don't mind it. I get why people do it, but then I've taken film classes & I get framing, etc. But my sister does. She's even shorter than me. I ended up marrying a man who is exactly as tall as me (had nothing to do with why I married him), and she dates men who are ridiculously tall. Go figure.
@MountainMan show this to your wife. (Because has to balance precariously on a chair to snap this)) these are my grandparents...look closely at the height difference and how she compensates. Lol ((rip grandma))@Evvie @carmahaz @yogapaddlerun @AvaSpeaksUp
@Evvie
YES!! Big people's arms are heavy!! I wish they still made hat pins!! I swear I think that was why those were in fashion at one point- for self defense from big people!!
@AvaSpeaksUp @yogapaddlerun @Thumprhare @carmahaz @MountainMan I wear vintage/vintage repro clothing mostly in the pinup style (when I manage to make it out of my soft jammies) so I HAVE hat pins...never thought about that! NEW WEAPON AGAINST arm attacks! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
@carmahaz Keep telling the truth, except if it's going to hurt someone. Then, just turn and walk away. It's what I try to do. The civil part is nice though.
