I'm still trying to figure out how I managed to get the seat belt _under_ my hoodie last night. I just know it was very confusing when I tried to unbuckle and found myself tangled up to the point where I had to unzip the hoodie nad take if off to get out of the car.

@eliangonzalez @carmen
Not to put to0 fine a point on it but hey don't care.

@eliangonzalez There is also the case where someone posts something to attract hostile feedback and then changes the message to something else to make the people who replied look like they are attacking the new statement, not the original one.

I love how I'm sitting here waiting for another group to do something so I can ask the one question I have to ask them every month.
And being it's the middle of the night, someone else decides it must be OK to ask ME to do all the things they think I should be doing for something else. I've been going since 07:00 EST. I'm sorry, your ask will have to wait till (looks at calendar) Monday.

That thing behind you, no don't look at it. Just play it casual.

@kel well, I only intended half of that to happen.

Can someone remind me what the cheatcode was to jump to the other timeline for a bit?

As the numbers have continued to come in it does look like the 24 million was just slow vote counting. 177 million total votes cast is in line with the 2020 volume.

@imafoal There probably is, but if they're not involving a huge amount of people and somehow providing guardrails and a reasonable amount of transparency, we also have to question of they will com up with the _correct_ conclusions, and not just confirmation of what they already thought was going to be the right conclusion.

@Tee_Lynn, I get the same way. I have days where it's like I'm my just lying in bed and not sleeping, for days at a time.
I don't even think this week is _special_ in that regard.

02:23 EST: Why am I suddenly awake right now?

Incredible what a productive day at work and the third latte can do for my mood.

@mcfate For the time being, that does seem to be the sane way forward.

@mcfate
For me it's more about planning next steps. Cause in 2 years and 4 years, I can't see how it's not going to be that much harder.
Is this how we finally get the message to people that sitting out the vote _is_ a vote for the worst possible outcome?
The takeaway here, the thing people need to hear, is the US system doesn't support protest votes or protest by not voting. That's the takeaway for me.

Did some quick back of the napkin numbers.
Harris had 18 million votes fewer votes than Biden in 2020.
Trump received about 6 million fewer votes than he did in 2020.
Where did those 24 million voters go? Are we here today because 24 million voters stayed home?

All I can think of today is not to trust happy people.
